Maryanne Guido, CEO
Maryanne Auray Guido was raised in Upper Saddle River, NJ. She is the oldest daughter and second child of six; parents Robert & Mary Auray. Maryanne’s formative years were influenced by educated, dynamic parents and fun-loving, intelligent siblings.
Maryanne received her BS in Mathematics and Economics with a minor in Statistical Analysis from the University of Virginia, Magnum Cum Laude. She met her husband Tom during her second year in college. When Tom graduated from Princeton U and returned to San Antonio to begin work, they continued a long distance relationship for two years, while Maryanne completed college. After graduation they married and moved to San Antonio permanently.
Maryanne began her career with USAA as an Actuarial Analyst while studying to complete her Actuarial Fellowship. She also continued to work on her MBA in the evenings at UTSA. After the birth of their first child, Maryanne took a sabbatical from USAA and returned to school at night to attain her Residential Real Estate license and received a certification in Interior Design from ST. MARY’S UNIVERSITY. After receiving her ASID designation, Maryanne founded GUIDO INTERIORS INC., specializing in commercial office, and residential planning and renovations for the next 10 years.
In 1993, Maryanne joined GUIDO & COMPANIES to assist with business operations, employee training and development, and management. In 2005, Maryanne was appointed CEO and Chairman of the Board of GUIDO & COMPANIES INC. Under Maryanne’s leadership, GUIDO has experienced dynamic growth and positioned themselves in the top tier of South Texas builders.
Maryanne serves on several local and national boards, continuing the strong philanthropic participation of her family. Maryanne and Tom Guido have been married for 45 years; they have four adult children and five grandsons. They enjoy and participate in many volunteer activities in their community, church and industry. Together they spend their leisure time biking, practicing yoga, skiing, reading, cooking, traveling, and drinking great wine!
