Katy Perry fans think the songstress might be up to something new after a surprise social media rebrand.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the "California Gurls" standout recently took her leave from American Idol after a fabulous seven seasons, and is officially entering a new era. We're just not sure what it all means yet!
On Wednesday (May 22) the "Dark Horse" hitmaker changed her TikTok, Instagram, and X profile photos, and even rebranded her website to match the other logos. The curious new profile photo depicts a futuristic, silver "KP" logo inside of a bright orange background. Just when KatyCats thought it couldn't get any more mysterious, the artist's label, Capitol Records, shared a rotating gif of the "KP" initials to X without dropping a single hint about what it's leading up to.
Soon after Perry changed all of her social media profile pictures, the topic "KATY PERRY IS COMING," started trending on X. Entertainment Tonight mentioned that fans lost their minds in the comment section of the Capitol Records post, sharing in the excitement of a possible album announcement in the near future.
Perry herself has yet to comment on the unexplained rebrand as KatyCats keep their eyes peeled for more clues that elude to the superstar releasing new music for the first time this decade.
